Merchandising/Business Operations Cattle Honor Companion Animal Horse

September 24, 2007
Volume 2, Number 9

The harvest is upon us, and is in full swing at my farm. What a busy time of year, but an excellent time for feed sales. The summer low is passing, and I’m really excited about a banner last quarter!

Included in this newsletter are a number of points to ponder and work into your business. Check out new products & existing products, with a new twist and added emphasis.

You know I love the show feed business, and this is my favorite time of year. Every day there are calves getting bought & sold, and people looking for an edge. Our show feed line is the industry leader, and we continue to mop the floor at shows all around the country. I want to really target those breeders that are leading the way. Oh how influential they are! Sheep, pigs, cattle . . . if there are top end breeders in your area, let's find’em and sell’em some good stuff, and give them the “edge”.

There are programs available for selling a lot of new customers horse feed this fall; and I encourage all of you to look them over and implement them. I think they will really work to find and land some new business.

Notice the information regarding our Expos’ in 2008. Pay special attention to the one coming up February in Palm Springs. No better way to escape the cold of a Midwest winter, than to get some hot deals and new products in California. Contact me with questions, I’ve got some excellent airline rates found that will make this trip even better!

Have a safe and prosperous harvest season.

Thank you for your business!
